The Edge of Paradise

On the Edge of Paradise is my tribute to my flower farm, Yukon Butterflies Flower Farm which is located right outside the back door of my house. Every piece of plant material was grown or gathered from here on my property and dried. The flowers, furniture and tattoo imagery are taken directly from my collages, including nine clay skulls, painted gold, their eyes and teeth filled with glitter, scattered around the property. There are eight skulls in the garden and one in the bed upstairs. They are a reminder of the cycles of life and death, which is also what I’ve learned from the flowers. Time is short, take a chance and bloom while you can, before the frost comes.
